About Us

Tensegrity

Tensegrity® practices support and make us more aware of the interdependent and ever-adapting network that gives shape to our physical and our energetic bodies — and our relationships. They include movements, self-inquiry, dreaming, silence, and Theater of Infinity® to support a conscious, creative life, helping us to see how our actions impact others, and to reveal a greater range of choice in how to play the many roles we are called to in our lives.

The word tensegrity, a combination of “tensional integrity” was invented by visionary architect R. Buckminster Fuller. This dynamic, flexible integrity is found in all structures in nature — atoms, cells, trees, our bodies, the solar system, galaxies, and beyond. Carlos Castaneda found the word Tensegrity® to be the best description of the interconnectivit y revealed by the practices taught to him by his teacher, don Juan Matus, a Yaqui Indian and heir to a lineage of seers from ancient Mexico.

Our ancient ancestors knew instinctively that all being was deeply related. Aligned with the rhythms, cycles and consciousness of nature, and filled with respect and love for all around them, they acted with strength, wisdom and innovation.

Through Tensegrity® and Theater of Infinity® events led by Cleargreen Instructors and more than 200 Tensegrity Facilitators around the world, you can do the same.

Cleargreen

Cleargreen sponsors Tensegrity® and Theater of Infinity® trainings and events.

The name Cleargreen represents the intent for clear and conscious relationships in all areas of life. The color clear green is considered to be the hue of the energetic field of the heart, and the color of photosynthesis — the life-giving alchemy of earth, mineral, water, and stars.

Cleargreen’s symbol, a pair of dragonflies holding a luminous egg, or Tensegrity structure, depicts small beings of the dinosaur era who intended evolutionary flight. As human beings work together to acknowledge our own and others’ shining essence, we also evolve another kind of flight.

Cleargreen was founded by Carlos Castaneda and his colleagues in 1995, and has given over 200 events in the United States, Mexico, Europe, Russia and Ukraine.

Carlos Castaneda

Carlos Castaneda was an anthropologist who wrote twelve books about his apprenticeship with don Juan Matus. These books have been translated into more than seventeen languages and sold more than 28 million copies worldwide. They form a classic depiction of a modern Western social scientist as he encounters and begins to integrate a shamanic way of experiencing and interacting with the world. By seeking to approach don Juan’s teachings on their own terms, rather than attempting to impose a predetermined model of Western social science, they marked a revolution in the field of anthropology and sparked a worldwide renewal of looking to ancient cultures, dreams and the bodymind itself as sources of wisdom for our times. Among Dr. Castaneda’s later works is Magical Passes: The Practical Wisdom of the Shamans of Ancient Mexico, which describes the origin of the movements and practices don Juan Matus taught him, and their contemporary adaptions: Tensegrity® and Theater of Infinity®
